Central Monitoring Situation in Pakistan

The Ministry of External Affairs has stated that the Centre is closely monitoring the situation in Pakistan following the shooting incident involving the former prime minister in Gujranwala, Wazirabad on Thursday evening.

“We are closely monitoring the situation and will continue to keep a close watch on ongoing developments,” said MEA Spokesperson Arindam Bagchi in response to the incident.

Pakistan Prime Minister has condemned the shooting in Gujranula and has called for an immediate report on the incident. Sharif has instructed Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah to obtain an immediate report from IG Police and the Chief Secretary of Punjab.
