Prepare for Rainy Days Ahead: IMD Forecast for India

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted scattered to widespread rainfall across various parts of the country in the next five days. The IMD’s bulletin indicates that the rainfall will move into Rajasthan, Haryana, and Punjab in the next two days due to favorable conditions.

Heavy rain is expected in states like east Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Bihar, Konkan, and other regions over the next four days. Additionally, strong winds up to 50 kmph are forecasted for coastal areas, prompting IMD to advise fishermen to avoid going out to sea.

A cyclonic circulation is present over northwest Uttar Pradesh and the neighboring areas, as well as central parts of the south Bay of Bengal and adjoining central Bay of Bengal.

The IMD bulletin suggests that scattered to widespread rainfall will continue in the region for the next 24 hours.

Isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected in Uttarakhand from July 2-6, eastern Uttar Pradesh from July 4-6, and western Uttar Pradesh on July 5 and 6.

The IMD predicts widespread rainfall across the region in the next five days. Chhattisgarh may see isolated heavy rainfall from July 4-6, while eastern MP and Vidarbha region could experience rainfall between July 5 and 6.

Konkan, Goa, and Ghat areas of Madhya Maharashtra are likely to have moderate to widespread rainfall in the next five days. Gujarat is also expected to receive heavy to very heavy rainfall in the next 24 hours.

Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Assam, Meghalaya, and Arunachal Pradesh are likely to experience light to moderate rainfall in the next five days. Bihar may see isolated heavy rainfall from June 2-3, with West Bengal, Jharkhand, and Odisha expecting rainfall on specific days.

Kerala, Mahe, and coastal Karnataka are expected to receive scattered to widespread rainfall in the next five days, while Andhra Pradesh and southern interior Karnataka will have rains from July 3-6. Isolated heavy rainfall is possible in various regions over the next five days, as mentioned in the IMD bulletin.
