West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee accused the Centre of mismanaging the economy, leading to a crisis in wheat supply in the country. She criticized the current government, calling it “adulterated” and blamed decisions like demonetisation for causing economic hardship and rising unemployment.

Addressing TMC party workers in Bankura district, Banerjee expressed concern over the scarcity of wheat, attributing it to the faulty economic policies of the BJP-led government. She demanded that West Bengal’s financial dues be cleared and warned that failure to do so would result in parting ways with the BJP.

Banerjee questioned the whereabouts of the cash post-demonetisation, labeling it a major scam. She criticized the Centre for allegedly selling off national assets like Indian Railways and insurance, describing the BJP as incompetent and calling for their defeat in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.
