Beware of Investment Scams! Haryana Police Crackdown on Fraudulent Crypto Company

Four men have been arrested by Haryana Police for allegedly deceiving individuals with promises of high investment returns through a fraudulent company called Crypto World Trading Company in Ambala on Tuesday.

The individuals arrested were identified as Kapil from Ambala Cantonment, Vikas Kalra from Ambala City, Tarun Taneja, and Ramesh Kumar from Kurukshetra.

Kapil was apprehended on September 6 in Maheshnagar, Vikas was arrested on September 8 in Amritsar (Punjab), Tarun was taken into custody on September 10 in Pilani (Rajasthan), and Ramesh was detained on September 12 in Ambala.

During the investigation, police confiscated assets totaling around Rs 60 lakh from the suspects, including four vehicles, cash, gold, and froze 13 bank accounts.

A complaint was lodged at Ambala Sadar police station against the suspects for their fraudulent investment scheme through Crypto World Trading Company. Subsequently, a case was filed under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and a police team, comprised of personnel from the economic, crime, and cyber units, was assembled to further investigate the matter.
