The Congress has adopted a new approach to challenge the BJP on its nationalist agenda. It criticized the BJP for allowing the production and import of polyester and machine-made national flags.

AICC general secretary in charge of communication department, Jairam Ramesh, stated, “The BJP’s ties with terrorists were exposed by 23 of our leaders and spokespersons during press conferences in different cities across the country.”

The party plans to raise these issues in Parliament and demand answers from the government during the upcoming Monsoon Session.

Congress media department head Pawan Khera emphasized the party’s stance against politicizing terrorism, but highlighted the need to address the alleged connections between terrorists and the BJP.

“In the name of nationalism, the BJP is engaged in a destructive game,” he added.

Party spokesperson Ajoy Kumar brought up the Kandahar terrorist swap, criticizing the BJP government for releasing a notorious terrorist in 1999, who went on to establish a terror group responsible for various attacks, including the Pulwama attack in 2019.
